Andrea Ferro (co-vocalist) comments: “In the past we’ve been asked a million times about when we were gonna put out a band DVD. Truthfully, we never felt like it was a priority, and we didn’t want to release something just because the market was asking for it.

“The Karmacode tour brought us to many different places around the world for the first time and we managed to record some of those great, outstanding shows where the interaction with the people was just magic. This DVD is a beautiful reminder of where we have been in the past three years with all our body, mind and soul.”

LAMB OF GOD Announce Release Date for New DVD

LAMB OF GOD are proud to announce the release of an all-new, 2-disc DVD on July 1, 2008. Walk With Me In Hell is a documentary chronicling every detail in the lives of the biggest band in metal as they completed recording and toured around the world nearly three times over in support of the biggest selling metal album of 2007, the Grammy-nominated, Top 10 charting, Sacrament.

Fans can check out an EXCLUSIVE trailer for Walk With Me In Hell at as well as the band’s official MySpace page,

The Walk With Me In Hell two DVD set features over five hours of all-access footage. Disc 1 contains the highly anticipated feature documentary “Walk With Me In Hell” and multiple live performance extras from across the globe on the Sacrament World Tour. Disc 2 includes the additional full-length feature “Making of Sacrament” plus LAMB OF GOD’s entire, uncut, brutal performance at the Download Festival 2007, where they performed in front of over 72,000 fans. Extras include deleted scenes, live performance videos for various tour stops, the official music video for “Redneck,” and a “Making of Redneck” documentary.

“We’re on stage for 90 minutes a day,” says drummer Chris Adler. “People want to know what’s going on for the other 22 and 1/2 hours. It’s not always limousines and champagne. Killadelphia surprised a lot of people and proved that we refuse to censor or hold anything back. True to the high standard that we hold ourselves to, Walk With Me In Hell is unlike any music DVD I’ve ever seen. This is an entire new level of documentary taking you on an intense, worldwide journey with us.”

“Walk With Me In Hell is a very proud moment for us as a band. It’s hard to comprehend the pain and glory when you’re in the middle of it, but looking back over the past two years we can begin to understand how huge this record and touring cycle was,” says Adler. “It shows the blood shed and what it takes to not only hold our own, but succeed in the face of every obstacle in front of us. We have never offered less than our best, our fans expect and deserve it, and this DVD will serve as a landmark for all that follow.”

IRON MAIDEN – Live After Death

After the release of a monster of a DVD, The History of IRON MAIDEN – Part 1: The Early Days, fans have had to wait an agonizing three years for the follow up, Live After Death. The great news is that Live After Death does not disappoint in the least. Disc One is composed of the long out of print Live After Death concert video. Recorded on the Powerslave tour during the band’s four night run at Long Beach Arena, this is absolutely the most, if not one of the most, classic metal concert videos of all time. IRON MAIDEN are in top form and go through a complete setlist of MAIDEN classics. The Powerslave-themed stage set is larger than life and really adds to the spectacle of the show. Disc Two consists of part 2 of the “History of IRON MAIDEN” documentary, an additional documentary in “Behind the Iron Curtain,” the band’s performance at Rock in Rio ’85 and more. Part 2 of the “History of IRON MAIDEN” takes us through the mega successful Powerslave-era of the band beginning with the recording of the album. The band members, crew, management, and friends all share candid thoughts and anecdotes from the era. The abundance of footage, photographs, and interviews really conveys a great sense about what MAIDEN were living at the time. “Behind the Iron Curtain” takes you through the band’s unprecedented tour of Poland and other areas of the Eastern Block during the communist era. The content of both documentaries is not only fascinating, interesting, and highly entertaining, but just as awe-inspiring when you see the unmatched adoration and success that MAIDEN achieved over 23 years ago. The excellent quality and abundance of interesting content should more than satisfy (rabid) MAIDEN fans. The unquestionable relevance and impact of Powerslave and this subsequent DVD package make for the perfect compliments. The bottom line is that Live After Death is a mandatory purchase for every metal fan. Onward to next MAIDEN DVD! (New Door Records/Universal Music Enterprises)

THE GATHERING – A Noise Severe

The only way to follow up an award winning DVD in A Sound Relief is to release another award worthy-DVD. A Noise Severe is packed with an abundance of the highest quality content that the band could include. The first disc is composed of THE GATHERING’s live performance in Santiago, Chile in front of 4,000 enthusiastic fans. The atmosphere of the vibe is simply electric as the band and the crowd constantly feed off each other’s energy making for a really fantastic performance. THE GATHERING put on a near-flawless show with plenty of smiles on the band’s faces throughout. As far as the two hour setlist goes, there is a really nice blend of songs from all albums of the Anneke van Giersbergen-era. The biggest thrill for many will undoubtedly be the inclusion of half of the landmark Mandylion album. The visuals are great in not only the fact that the stage presentation is top-notch but there are numerous cameras that allow for multiple views of the show. The second disc is comprised of a documentary of the making of the Home album and various video clips of songs from albums. The documentary, “Homemade,” is a very candid and insightful look into not only the writing process for Home but also a look into the personalities and lives of the band. You come away feeling a greater appreciation for the band as well as getting a new perspective on the album. Overall, this is simply one of the best music DVD releases available. The double CD version of A Noise Severe serves as a quality stand alone release due to the fantastic mix, performance, and the compelling atmosphere of the show that translates easily into an audio format. A Noise Severe is also a perfect snapshot in the life of the band near the end of the Anneke van Giersbergen-era. (The End Records)

The “Somewhere Back In Time – World Tour 08” was inspired by MAIDEN’s recently released DVD, Live After Death. Filmed and recorded over four spectacular nights at Long Beach Arena on the “Powerslave Tour” in 1985, this has long been a benchmark for rock concert videos and live albums, and the CD remains one of the biggest-selling live albums ever with sales in excess of six million worldwide. With the video having been largely unavailable for many years, the fan’s massive interest in this legendary concert continues to this day with the DVD debuting at No. 1 on charts around the world (including The UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark and Finland), as well as No 2 on the Billboard USA Chart and in Canada.

This tour revisits the band’s history by focusing almost entirely on their classic 80’s period in both choice of songs played and the stage set, which is based around the legendary Egyptian Production of that “Powerslave Tour” as portrayed on the Live After Death DVD. This will arguably be the most elaborate and spectacular show the band have ever presented. Furthermore the band intends to bring along for this summer leg of the tour the colossal mummy of Eddie, as featured on the Live After Death DVD, along with various other elements of the show that would not fit on their 757 on the first leg of this tour, which included the shows at the Forum and Izod Centre. Sadly no jumbo has a door big enough to fit in such a massive and imposing monster!!!

Says vocalist Bruce Dickinson: “We are all greatly looking forward to getting back to see our fans in places like Texas, the South West and Seattle where we haven’t played for quite some time. And for this leg we will be able to bring along all Eddie’s toys which we couldn’t get on our plane during the first leg. We are all having a great time on this tour and really can’t believe the excitement it is creating round the world and the huge numbers of people who are turning out to see us. It makes for a really very exciting time for all of us, fans and band alike.”

MAIDEN kicked off their record-breaking Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 08 in Mumbai, India on Feb 1st, before it rolled into Australia and Japan earlier this month – their first visit to the country in 15 years. This tour, during which MAIDEN is expected to play to more than 1.5 million fans in the next six months, sees IRON MAIDEN consolidate their reputation as one of the greatest live acts on the planet and also one of the biggest ticket-selling bands ever.

”MAIDEN Mania” is currently gripping countries around the world as tickets for the 2008 world tour flew out of box offices everywhere when they went on sale last year. On the first leg in Feb/Mar alone, tickets in San Paolo, Brazil, at the 42,000 capacity Palmeiras Stadium sold out in just a week ; Mexico City’s 22,000 capacity Sports Arena sold out in a record-breaking four days leading to the show being moved to the 51,000 Foro Sol Stadium, which is already sold out too; a first ever visit to Colombia, where first day ticket sales were the biggest for any music event there ever, saw the Simon Bolivar Stadium in Bogota sell out the 30,000 original capacity in 10 days and this has now been extended to 50,000; 14,000 capacity arenas in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, sold out in less than half an hour with second shows being added in both cities and the band playing to 70,000 fans there; 25,000 fans in each of Argentina, Chile and Costa Rica have already snapped up all available tickets with the promoter asking the venues if he can get more fans in to see the show.

The story continues in North America where shows in major arenas in LA, New York, Toronto sold out weeks in advance; and in the summer, when MAIDEN take the show around the stadiums of Europe, 125,000 tickets were sold in just over 2 hours last November for three stadium shows in Sweden and Finland!

Being able to tour the Southern Hemisphere in such a concentrated way is all due to the band taking their own plane – along with their entire 50-man crew, 12 tons of equipment and stage set – around the world with Astraeus Airline Captain Bruce Dickinson at the helm. As The Age in Australia reports:

“Some bands achieve such colossal levels of success that they get to ride in their own jet. But very few actually fly the damn things themselves. British heavy metal kings IRON MAIDEN have taken the DIY ethos to a new level – albeit with a much bigger budget than most heavy metal bands – when singer Bruce Dickinson flew his band into the country this week in a specially refitted Boeing 757.”

GOD FORBID Allow Fans to Name New DVD; Begin Work on New Album

GOD FORBID wrapped up an extremely successfully 2007 as part of the Stillborn Fest playing alongside HATEBREED and AGNOSTIC FRONT, among others but will now concentrate solely on completing their much anticipated new full-length release. The group also recently completed work on their first DVD, which is tentatively slated for a spring release. However, the DVD remains without a title, so GOD FORBID decided to put this task into the hands of their fans. See below for additional info.

Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) states: “GOD FORBID has been kicking for 10 years strong, and we are consistently blown away by how loyal our fans have been through our musical evolution. It’s definitely time to give something back. The GF camp have been having some trouble coming up with a title for our upcoming DVD, so Dallas (guitars, vocals) thought it might a good idea to involve our faithful fans in our creative process by letting you name the DVD. Yes, YOU motherfucker! Put on your thinking caps and become part of GOD FORBID history.

“This contest will only be running for a week, and the grand prize winner will get their name listed in the DVD’s credits, receive an autographed copy of the DVD, an ESP/Cocaine Energy drink guitar and a case of Cocaine Energy drinks. The two runner ups will also receive a bunch of other awesome stuff. We’re going to pick the top three and have everyone vote on the best title from there. We will announce the winner on Jan. 28th. Good luck and let the games begin!”

Please send all DVD title submissions to [email protected] and be sure to include your full name, age and mailing address. The contest runs through 12PM on Friday, Jan. 25th.

Coyle further comments: “This is going to be a big year for GOD FORBID as we will be releasing our first ever DVD and our first new album since 2005. The DVD is pretty much done, except for the menus, and we still need a title. I’ve already mentioned how incredible the concert portion looks and sounds, but the band was fortunate enough to be able to screen the documentary portion, directed by Denise Korycki, and we were all blown away. It is a combination of historical insight, introspection into our personalities, social commentary and some god damn funny ass shit. I guess we were sick of being funny on other bands DVDs. If you consider yourself a true GOD FORBID fan, this DVD will be essential. I think this DVD ranks among the best metal DVDs on the market.

“In regards to the new album, we are a lot further along in the writing process. We have a few songs completed, and probably a dozen more in the works. So far the material is extremely varied. I can also say that Dallas and I have started using seven string guitars, so tonally there will be more variety.

“We will be heading into the studio at the beginning of March with our longtime producer and friend, Eric Rachel at Trax East. So the album we probably come out mid to late summer. Let’s keep our fingers crossed on that front. We will also begin videotaping rehearsals and recording, and releasing some YouTube updates as the process continues. Keep your eyes and ears open for those. More news to follow soon”

Stay tuned to for all news updates and tour info.

VADER – And Blood Was Shed in Warsaw

As the godfathers of Polish death metal, VADER should need no introduction. Forging their own path throughout the years with both a relentless touring and release schedule, VADER paved the way for bands such as BEHEMOTH and DECAPITATED to follow. And Blood Was Shed in Warsaw, their third official DVD release, offers a fine document of the masters at work with pro-shot concert filmed in the band’s own backyard. Balancing a set list from VADER‘s extensive catalog is no easy task (classics such as “The Crucified Ones,” “The Final Massacre,” and “Reborn in Flames” are conspicuously absent) but the band manages to mix “the hits” – “Silent Empire,” “Black to the Blind” and “Sothis” with newer material from Impressions in Blood such as “Shadowfear” and the anthem “Helleluyah (God is Dead)” with relative ease. The production values of the show are top-notch, from the sound to the lighting particularly during the intro track of the second half of the concert “Parabellum” through the band’s performance of the three tracks of their excellent The Art of War EP. Musically, the band is on fire executing each song with razor sharp precision and efficiency. Reflecting the band’s no-bull approach and attitude, frontman Peter keeps the in between song chit-chat to a minimum, focusing instead on delivering the calculating, punishing performances the band is known for. Although the sluggish “Predator” detracts from the band’s momentum somewhat, things are quickly back on track for the finale of “Wings” and the band’s cover of Polish thrash band KAT‘s “Wyrocznia.” And Blood Was Shed in Warsaw also features several extras: An extensive band biography and discography for the uninitiated, photos, and two video clips. One of which features our heroes enter a world of fantasy with the rock oriented videogame soundtrack offering, “Sword of the Witcher.” There’s also a detailed interview with mainman Peter who candidly discusses the band’s changes throughout the years, musical influences, the departure and untimely passing of original drummer Docent, to the band’s future and the world through the internet. And Blood Was Shed in Warsaw is a must for all diehard VADER fans and is an excellent introduction for those interested in the roots of one of death metal’s forefathers. (MVD Entertainment Group)

IRON MAIDEN Announce Full Details of Live After Death DVD

Finally available on DVD for the first time, New Door Records/UMe are proud to announce the eagerly awaited release of the double disc DVD of Live After Death, the legendary recording of IRON MAIDEN‘s four night stand at Long Beach Arena, California, in 1984.

In the stores February 5, 2008, the release will coincide with the start of the band’s Somewhere Back in Time World Tour on which they will recreate many of the aspects of this original and spectacular show.

Disc one contains the recording of this full 90 minute concert. Originally filmed on 35mm, the footage comes alive on DVD resulting in a visually stunning film that far outstrips the usual live video of the ’80s. The disc carries two sound options — the original concert audio specially mixed into 5.1 Surround Sound by Kevin Shirley, MAIDEN‘s producer since 1999, plus the original stereo sound track by Martin Birch, the band’s producer from 1981 to 1993. Originally released on video in 1985, this has been largely unavailable for the past 20 years

Disc two has Part 2 of the “History of IRON MAIDEN,” continuing on the MAIDEN story from The Early Days DVD, along with rare and unseen bonus footage in the form of “Behind The Iron Curtain,” “Rock In Rio ’85,” and “‘Ello Texas,” all in all giving a total running time of well over three hours. Plus of course the photo galleries, relevant promo videos, artwork galleries, tour dates, tour program and other features which all combine to make MAIDEN DVDs a very special and utterly comprehensive treat for their fans.

Manager Rod Smallwood explained: “The original video of Live After Death has not been readily available for a long time so its good that we finally got around to this. lt was one of the first full concerts to be filmed after the advent of video and of course the live album, recorded on a different night to the video, has long been considered to be one of the seminal metal live albums and has sold millions since. Fans have been begging us to do this DVD for some time now but we wanted to wait until we were able to recreate that whole tour to go with it and also to make it part of a series of DVDs that we are putting together around the band’s history. And of course we are making sure that now we have got to it we will be giving the fans everything we can find from that period!!”

IRON MAIDEN Announce Somewhere Back in Time World Tour 2008

IRON MAIDEN announce only two U.S. shows at the Los Angeles Forum on Tuesday February 19th and at the Izod Center, New Jersey on March 14th as part of the Somewhere Back in Time World Tour 2008.

The band will fly in especially for this one show from Tokyo two days before and depart for Mexico the day after on a specially commissioned and customized Boeing 757, flown by Astraeus Airline Captain and MAIDEN vocalist Bruce Dickinson. The 757, decked out in MAIDEN and Eddie artwork, will carry the band, road crew and other personnel of around 70 people plus over 12 tons of equipment.

This first leg of the Somewhere Back in Time World Tour opens in Mumbai, India on February 1st, and continues through Australia and Japan before arriving in LA.

The entourage then fly to Mexico and into Latin America for the band’s first ever concerts in Costa Rica and Columbia, and on to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Puerto Rica and New York, before finishing in Toronto, Canada, on March 16th. Over the 45 day period it is anticipated that MAIDEN will play to well over 400,000 fans in 21 cities in 10 countries, flying close to 50,000 miles in the specially refitted plane (full schedule below).

Comments Bruce Dickinson, “I have been flying commercial passenger jets for Astraeus Airlines for a few years now and we are commissioning an Astraeus Boeing 757. It will go in for overhaul, painting and conversion in November which will then give us time to ensure we have all the necessary safety documentation, especially with regard to fire safety. It also means it could possibly be flying commercial air routes decked out in MAIDEN colours for a couple of months before we start!

“Looking at the list of places we would like to play we have always had problems joining up the dots. With sea containers in various places it slows down the whole touring process, which is fine if you want a holiday but not if you want to play.

It’s great to see places but we don’t want to sit around for a week waiting for gear to get from, say Australia to South America, so this way we can get to more fans in more places en route in the same time period.”

To tie in with forthcoming 2008 releases on DVD of the classic Live After Death concert video (full details coming soon) this tour will revisit the band’s history by focusing almost entirely on the 80’s in both choice of songs played and the stage set, which will be based around the legendary Egyptian production of the 1984-85 Powerslave Tour. This will arguably be the most elaborate and spectacular show the band have ever presented, and will include some key elements of their Somewhere in Time tour of 1986/7, such as the Cyborg Eddie.

Steve Harris comments: “The last time we played California was the Verizon last October and it was a fantastic gig, sold out well in advance so the fans were well up for it. It was as good a crowd reaction as we have ever had in LA. It was also our last show on that US Tour and really ended up a night to remember. It will certainly be the first time we have played LA by flying in, doing the show and flying straight out again – we usually like to hang around there for a few days!! We will have to make up for it next time!! “l always loved the Powerslave show which I think was arguably our most spectacular ever, so bringing it back to LA – where we originally filmed the show at Long Beach Arena for our Live After Death video – has got to be special and we are very much looking forward to it”.

The IRON MAIDEN fan club have arranged an exclusive first access pre-sale for members to buy Tickets to the show on Tuesday November 6th, before tickets go on sale to the public on 10th November.

To allow fans to be right up close to the band, the fan club will also be running a special draw whereby 60 winners and friend at each show will be given first access to the venue enabling them to be first to the stage barrier. Full details can be found on

General public on-sale is Saturday, November 10 at 10 A.M
