Los Angeles Murderfest Version 3.0: More Bands Confirmed; Tickets on Sale

The Church of the 8th Day is proud to announce it’s second round of confirmed headliners for the Los Angeles Murderfest – Version 3.0 which will take place on March 24th and 25th at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood California. Rounding out Saturday’s headlining package will be the only scheduled US appearance in 2007 for OBITUARY, an exclusive West Coast re-union for ATHEIST and a rare live performance from REPULSION. Sunday will be highlighted with the previously released exclusive West Coast re-union of BRUTAL TRUTH, and two rare live appearances from ANAL CUNT and PIG DESTROYER.

National support carries on with the trend of exclusive, rare and first time appearance from bands such as LACK OF INTEREST, WACO JESUS, CRETIN, KYLESA, GENGHIS TRON, STRONG INTENTION, KILL THE CLIENT plus many more special guest appearances to be confirmed within the upcoming weeks.

Tickets have just been made available through Ticket Web (www.TicketWeb.com) as well as through the Knitting Factory box office. Advance tickets are suggested to all those wanting to attend this year’s fest as the capacity of the venue is limited to 900 people per day.

The Los Angeles Murderfest will be celebrating its second consecutive year as well as its third year in existence with Version 3.0. Originally the brainchild of Church of the 8th Day founder Daniel Dismal, the Los Angeles Murderfest was born out of the idea that L.A. needed a fest that embraced the various styles of metal, hardcore and punk. Borrowing the initial formula from the highly successful New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, the Murderfest has begun to carve out its own niche within the festival circuit in an amazingly short amount of time. With an ultimate goal to incorporate the feel of a European style festival in an American setting, the Los Angeles Murderfest will once again prove to be the staging ground for rare and exclusive Los Angeles appearances and reunions from some of the best outfits in each genre. Cutting back from the 3 day structure to a more concise 2 day structure, Version 3.0 will feature 40 plus bands on two stages within a 48 hour period while playing host to some of the industries top vendors and record labels in what is being labeled as an Underground Flea Market. Whether it’s the legends, the legends to be or a chance to save tons of money on merchandise, the Los Angeles Murderfest Version 3.0 promises to be one for the record books. Boasting an overall door price that’s rivaling the standard cost off a 5 band show, the Murderfest is definitely booked and priced with the sole purpose of becoming a yearly staple within the underground scene.
