LACUNA COIL: Headlining North American Tour with KILL HANNAH, SEVENTH VOID, DOMMIN

Italy’s LACUNA COIL have announced a headlining North American summer tour with support from KILL HANNAH, SEVENTH VOID, and DOMMIN. The tour, which kicks off July 7th, will be the band’s first headlining tour of North America in over two years. Expect LACUNA COIL to perform an hour-plus set consisting of many new tracks from Shallow Life, as well as older classics.

Vocalist Andrea Ferro states: “We just got back from the great adventure that was the ‘Music As A Weapon IV‘ tour in the States and let me tell you: our fans are the best! Regardless of these hard times with the economy, they were out there night after night to support live music, ready to rock out and have a good time! We couldn’t have asked for a better start for the Shallow Life touring cycle and we really want to take the time to thank DISTURBED and all of the traveling parties to make it such a great ride. June is coming and we’re getting ready for the summer festival madness around Europe and to embrace all of our European fans and friends. We’re gonna debut some new songs together with our old material and it’s gonna be awesome!

“Shortly after that, we’ll be back in North America for the first leg of the ‘American Spellbound Tour.’ We will be hitting a lot of towns and territories that we weren’t able to on MAAW and sharing the stage with old time friends SEVENTH VOID, our new friends KILL HANNAH and DOMMIN. We are looking forward to having a blast as always in the U.S. and are sure you will too. Make sure to get your ticket soon and be ready to rock!”

LACUNA COIL recently completed a video for “Spellbound,” a track off Shallow Life. The video was shot in their hometown of Milan, Italy at the world famous Dolce & Gabbana nightclub Gold, and was directed by Saku. Watch it here:

  • Remixed/remasterd live performances recorded from 2007 at the Loudpark Festival (Japan) and Wacken Open Air (Germany)
  • Individual personal mini-movies from each band member
  • All promo videos from Karmacode
  • Behind-the-scenes tour footage
  • 10 competition-wining, fan-created videos
  • Exclusive access to the band’s new album preview site
  • Plus much more

A limited edition 4-disc set will include:

  • A 5.1 mix of Karmacode on audio DVD
  • A bonus CD with the Wacken performance

Andrea Ferro (co-vocalist) comments: “In the past we’ve been asked a million times about when we were gonna put out a band DVD. Truthfully, we never felt like it was a priority, and we didn’t want to release something just because the market was asking for it.

“The Karmacode tour brought us to many different places around the world for the first time and we managed to record some of those great, outstanding shows where the interaction with the people was just magic. This DVD is a beautiful reminder of where we have been in the past three years with all our body, mind and soul.”

STOLEN BABIES: New Song “Grubbery” Posted

DVD.  For more information on Cannibal Flesh Riot!, visit the film’s official website at http://www.cannibalfleshriot/.

THE GATHERING Comment on North American Tour, Upcoming Live CD/DVD

THE GATHERING have commented about the recently announced one-off headlining show in New York City and their upcoming live CD and DVD, A Noise Severe.

Drummer Hans Rutten posts, “Dear all! We are going to do a one off special headlining show in New York city before we support our friends from LACUNA COIL for a mere two weeks! We are looking forward to come to the USA and Canada again. Hope to see you all somewhere! We just finished our tour in South America with the recordings of our live DVD and CD, and they went very, very well. We recorded in front of 4,000 totally crazy Chileans! It was one of the biggest highlights of the band’s career, and what makes it even more special is that we were able to capture this vibe on DVD. It will be called A Noise Severe, and a noise severe it was, with the audience alone hitting 104 db several times without the band playing!”

A Noise Severe is the follow-up to the well-received 2005 DVD, A Sound Relief.

LACUNA COIL and Ovation Team Up For Acoustic In-Store Performances

LACUNA COIL and Ovation Guitars have teamed up to present a series of free acoustic clinic mini-performances, which will take place at guitar stores across the U.S. throughout the Jagermeister Tour. This is something unique and exclusive that the band wanted to do in order to give back something special to their devoted fanbase throughout the country. See below for the complete acoustic performance itinerary.

Cristiano Migliore (guitar) states, “We’re totally excited and looking forward to playing all these acoustic shows. It gives us the chance to perform in a different way, creating a more personal and unique atmosphere that you won’t find at our normal concerts. It was definitely challenging to rearrange our songs into acoustic versions, but we’re really happy with the results and hope you’ll enjoy listening to them as much as we did writing them.”

“Having LACUNA COIL team up with Ovation for these in-store acoustic performances is a great way to showcase our guitars in the hands of real pros,” says Rick Hall, product manager for Ovation Guitars. “But the biggest winners are the fans, who get a free show and a chance to meet the band by just showing up at the stores! Thanks to LACUNA COIL and their management for all their enthusiasm and support.”

LACUNA COIL Kick Off U.S. Tour with IN FLAMES

LACUNA COIL just embarked on a U.S. tour as direct support to IN FLAMES with THE SWORD and SEEMLESS in the support slots. The group recently completed a highly successful run on the annual Blackest of the Black Tour alongside the legendary DANZIG, labelmates THE HAUNTED, BELPHEGOR, and ASESINO. This is their group’s third U.S. run in support of Karmacode, their highly praised new album.

Andrea Ferro (male vocals) checks in with the following report: “Blackest of The Black was a good experience, and we were especially excited to have a chance to tour again alongside our party bros Kenny and Johnny from TYPE O NEGATIVE, who helped out DANZIG on this tour. We also had the chance to hit some places we never played before like Spokane, Santa Cruz, Tucson and Fresno, which were all amazing. The people’s reactions were simply awesome. The last day in Santa Cruz, DANZIG cancelled so we had to take the role of the headliner, which was all together a really cool experience.

“This led us immediately into two really packed headlining shows in Mexico, where we were met with first class treatment. We haven’t played there since 2001, when we opened for THEATRE OF TRAGEDY. We did a signing session the first day and stayed for almost two hours. Eventually we had to leave, and the fans were following us grabbing our hair and screaming. We felt like the BEATLES in the ‘60s! Both shows were truly amazing, and even if the technical conditions were not really appropriate, the crowd brought everything to a magic level. It’s always amazing how much these people appreciate the fact that you come to their country, they always have such a great time.

“We just began the final portion of our touring for the year after joining up with IN FLAMES, SEEMLESS, and THE SWORD. The first gig in Norfolk was very good, with a lot of people jumping and screaming, so things are already off to a really positive start. Rock on, and we will see you soon.”
