ARCH ENEMY will make their return to the U.S. on a massive Jagermeister sponsored co-headlining bill with CHIMAIRA and HATE ETERNAL this April. The trek, which also features labelmates GOD FORBID (who will join the package nine dates into the tour) and NEVERMORE (on select shows), includes a stop at the renowned New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on April 29th. This will be ARCH ENEMY’s third U.S. run in support of their critically acclaimed new album, Doomsday Machine, which debuted at #87 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and recently surpassed the 65,000 U.S. SoundScan plateau. They have also just shot a new video for the track, “My Apocalypse,” with director Roger Johansson. Look for it to make its Fuse and MTV2 debut this spring.
Michael Amott (guitars) comments on the upcoming tour: “The second phase of the Doomsday Machine is about to kick into high gear. ARCH ENEMY are really happy to be coming back to the U.S. and Canada as part of a killer Jagermeister tour package. Last time we were on a Jager tour (with SLAYER and HATEBREED back in ‘03), we had an absolute blast and it looks like it’s going to be more of the same this time around. This package has to be one of the most exciting contemporary metal packages to tour the U.S. so far this year, we’re proud to be a part of it and happy to be working with Jagermeister again. This tour will be very METAL indeed and you don’t want to miss it!
“The Live Apocalypse DVD is also now finally complete. This shaped up to be an ultra cool 2-disc affair and I honestly couldn’t be happier with it. The main show is from The Forum in London, U.K (December ‘04) and we also have footage from Manchester, U.K in December ‘05 (there’ll be 3 songs included from that). It goes without saying that there are tons of extras and special features - as there should be. The artwork was done by Niklas Sundin of Cabin Fever Media and we’ll be posting the cover asap. Andy Sneap’s audio mix (5.1 and stereo) is so heavy and it almost blew my speakers out! He really captured the live feel and power of the show, it’s like you are right there in the audience. Brilliant! This DVD crushes some of my favourite metal DVD’s from my own collection - and I have a sick collection. Once again, I am happy that we work with the best - they make us look and sound great. Look out for more detailed information on the DVD such as release dates and some cool trailers, so stay tuned.”
