CONVERGE Keeping Busy Writing, Touring, and Projects

August 1, 2005

CONVERGE have been keeping busy this summer collectively writing new material for the follow-up to last year’s You Fail Me album. The band currently have several skeleton several songs in the works with many more still coming together. CONVERGE will likely preview new material on their upcoming Canadian tour with TERROR, CURSED, and MARE as well as at Hellfest on August 19th. Also, plans for a full US tour in November are currently being worked out.

Not content with only CONVERGE-related duties, the band members have all been productive on other fronts. Guitarist Kurt Ballou has been busy engineering and producing such bands as SWARM OF THE LOTUS and MODERN LIFE IS WAR at his Godcity Studio. Drummer Ben Koller has hit the road to fill in as drummer for CAVE IN on their current tour. Vocalist Jake Bannon is submerged in all things Deathwish Inc. and design projects for AS I LAY DYING, UNDEROATH, RINGWORM, MODERN LIFE IS WAR, and others. Lastly, bassist Nate Newton is out on tour with DOOMRIDERS, whose album Black Thunder drops next week (August 9th).
