CRYPTOPSY Hard At Work On New Music

July 18, 2003

CRYPTOPSY are currently working on their upcoming fifth studio album, which is tentatively set for an early 2004 release. It will be the group’s first with new vocalist Martin Lacroix.

Alex Auburn (guitars) recently checked in with the following report on the group’s songwriting process:

“We just finished the seventh song for the album. The new stuff is really intense so far, well-balanced between all instruments leaving enough room for each instrument to have its space when we record. We will be doing one or two more songs and that’s it. All of the songs are very different because everybody in the band wrote a lot. Studio time is booked for October and November. We are also set to headlining the first huge metal festival in Australia on August 22nd alongside MARDUK, DORO and SODOM among others. No other shows outside of Australia are currently scheduled due to time constraints and us having to continue writing.”
