FANTÔMAS To Release Suspended Animation On April 5th

FANTÔMAS will release Suspended Animation, the follow-up to 2003’s Delirium Cordia, on April 5th via Ipecac Records. Frontman Mike Patton describes the album as “playful, jumpy, upbeat, with a lot of nursery rhymes.” Peep the album cover here.

  1. I have to agree with Benn. I mean, if you don’t like ’em, don’t listen to ’em. There are tons of bands I don’t like, but you don’t see me flaming them like I’m still 5 years old and just learned how to type. I simply don’t support them.

  2. WOW….Mike Roach is a complete moron. He is way too stupid to understand the complexity of a band like Fantomas. Mike Patton’s work is educated and well thought out. Unlike some shit by bands like Korn (probably Mike Roach’s favorite band)who think “hey how can we make a shitload of money of this next piece of poo we call a record.

  3. New Fantômas album?!
    I can’t wait!
People who like Mike Pattons work should also check out Mr. Bungle.

  4. They are irrelevant, but not overrated.
For fuck’s sake, can you think of a better lineup of players? If only they played rock.

  5. i must say im a little disappointed by the kadda/patton album. fantomas aint entirely irrelevant…but kadda/patton definitely is.

  6. I think the relevance is relative. I mean, Fantomas is very relevant in my life, but not to say that it is in someone else’s. Sheesh. Just opinions, not facts kids.

  7. what is relevant? they do music that they like, that’s at least thoughtful, that isn’t like most of the inane shit coming out of other major labels. that spirit alone is always relevant and welcomed.

  8. I’ll admit delirium cordia was a bit frustrating having only one track. Fantomas is beyond judgement however. If you don’t like it, don’t play it. Anyone who has taken the time to listen attentivly to Patton’s work knows he has earned the respect. Good or bad, it’s creative and original. The Mike Patton patent.

  9. all funny people…mike patton is the king of unpredictable, creative, incredible craziness. if you you want something ordinary, i suppose he just isn’t for you. check out melt banana, goes well with zorn, bungle, fantomas…people, people, people…jesus, what the hell is relevant, if you think about it, anyhow.

  10. Mike Patton is actually quite predictable in his unpredictableness(?!). And his “GOO GOO CHAKA CHA YÄÖÖÖ” tends to get a little irritating. I don’t think I’ll buy this one. I personally prefer Delirium Cordia out Fantomas’s work. Mr. Bungle is great too in every album of theirs.

  11. Fantomas owns your asses. Now get off the internet and do something worthwhile with yourselves….wait…..awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww shit………good point.
