GOD FORBID Dispels Rumors, Prepare to Enter the Studio

April 14, 2003

The New Jersey quintet, GOD FORBID have been working hard over the past few months preparing the follow-up to their critically acclaimed, Determination. There seem to have been some rumors spread as of late regarding the status of vocalist Byron Davis, so to clear everything up, GOD FORBID offers the following statement.

“In an effort to dispel the flurry of rumors floating around, GOD FORBID would like to announce that Byron Davis is still the lead singer of the band. First, we would like to apologize for our silence since these rumors began circulating. We’ve been concentrating solely on writing the best material possible and refused to be sidetracked in any way. We are all really excited about the new songs. In fact, we feel stronger about this material than anything we’ve done before. You can expect things to get a bit heavier and with more groove than anything on Determination. This will be a new beginning for us and we don’t think any of you will be disappointed.”

Vocalist Bryon Davis describes the situation by saying, “Recently there were some differences of opinion amongst the band that led to some rumors being spread and since then things have been settled. GOD FORBID are now striving for a new level of complexity with less boundaries and we are now more focused than ever. We promise everyone that this will be a record well worth the wait.”

The website is currently being overhauled and they hope to launch it very soon. Recording for the album will begin sometime in May and a producer will be named soon. Stay tuned to for details.

The band concluded with, “we are itching to get back on the road to showcase the new material and also want to thank all of our fans for their undying support. Expect some Northeast dates to be announced soon. Be sure to check for updates and news.”
