CHIMAIRA have replaced drummer Richard Evensand (ex-SOILWORK) with Kevin Talley, known for his in-and-out status with MISERY INDEX and previously of DYING FETUS. According to the CHIMAIRA, “there [were] many reasons for the split [with Evensand] most of which have to do with visa issues,” despite his having joined the band only seven months ago. The band their Road Rage tour with MACHINE HEAD tonight in Cleveland, OH and will be joined by new drummer Talley. Tour dates can be found here.

MISERY INDEX on the other hand are set to head off to Germany for their participation in the Wacken Open Air and Party.San Open Air festivals. They will be joined by drummer Adam Jarvis of ALL WILL FALL from St. Louis, MO. The death metallers will return to North America for more touring with CEPHALIC CARNAGE and NAPALM DEATH following those festival dates.

Also, the band’s forthcoming EP, Dissent, is being currently finalized and is expected to be available in the next month. They are in the process of finishing the layout.
