MISERY INDEX have announced that original drummer, Kevin Talley, has upgraded his status to a full-time band member. Following the departure of Matt Byers back in March, Talley agreed to rejoin fill the void for upcoming tours. Now with the drummer situation settled, MISERY INDEX plan to record a new EP in Atlanta sometime near the end of the month.
The band also issued the following statement regarding recently cancelled dates in Europe:
“After months of reassurances that everything was cool, the agent (Tjerk at Loudnoise in the Netherlands) decided it wasn’t financially viable to make the tour happen, so he cancelled it. We did everything in our power to make this come to pass, but, due to the fact that he pulled out so late in the game, there was no way to work it out on our own. We are obviously disappointed (read: pissed!!!) that things turned out this way. Thankfully, our tour in Europe in August is still a go, and hopefully the Iceland dates will be made up at that time as well.”
