Los Angeles-area extreme metallers SANCTUS have released a new self-financed EP entitled Fateshifter. The release is their first since 2000’s Aeon Sky which was released through Metal Blade Records. The EP includes three new tracks, “Turned Within,” “Dream,” and “Fateshifter” and was recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, CA as previously reported. Copies of the EP can be purchased via the band’s official website.

SANCTUS have also confirmed the addition of new guitarist Samuel Mix (FATE TURNS GREY). He replaces the departed Royce Hsu (who performed on Fateshifter). Drummer Michael Chi will remain the band’s drummer despite previously filling in on guitars while the band auditioned drummers.
