LAMB OF GOD Announce Release Date for New DVD

LAMB OF GOD are proud to announce the release of an all-new, 2-disc DVD on July 1, 2008. Walk With Me In Hell is a documentary chronicling every detail in the lives of the biggest band in metal as they completed recording and toured around the world nearly three times over in support of the biggest selling metal album of 2007, the Grammy-nominated, Top 10 charting, Sacrament.

Fans can check out an EXCLUSIVE trailer for Walk With Me In Hell at www.myspace.com/metal as well as the band’s official MySpace page, www.myspace.com/lambofgod.

The Walk With Me In Hell two DVD set features over five hours of all-access footage. Disc 1 contains the highly anticipated feature documentary “Walk With Me In Hell” and multiple live performance extras from across the globe on the Sacrament World Tour. Disc 2 includes the additional full-length feature “Making of Sacrament” plus LAMB OF GOD’s entire, uncut, brutal performance at the Download Festival 2007, where they performed in front of over 72,000 fans. Extras include deleted scenes, live performance videos for various tour stops, the official music video for “Redneck,” and a “Making of Redneck” documentary.

“We’re on stage for 90 minutes a day,” says drummer Chris Adler. “People want to know what’s going on for the other 22 and 1/2 hours. It’s not always limousines and champagne. Killadelphia surprised a lot of people and proved that we refuse to censor or hold anything back. True to the high standard that we hold ourselves to, Walk With Me In Hell is unlike any music DVD I’ve ever seen. This is an entire new level of documentary taking you on an intense, worldwide journey with us.”

“Walk With Me In Hell is a very proud moment for us as a band. It’s hard to comprehend the pain and glory when you’re in the middle of it, but looking back over the past two years we can begin to understand how huge this record and touring cycle was,” says Adler. “It shows the blood shed and what it takes to not only hold our own, but succeed in the face of every obstacle in front of us. We have never offered less than our best, our fans expect and deserve it, and this DVD will serve as a landmark for all that follow.”

Release Date Set for MACHINE HEAD’s The Blackening; Tour with LAMB OF GOD, TRIVIUM

MACHINE HEAD recently finished recording The Blackening at Sharkbite Studios in the band’s hometown of Oakland, California. Once again produced by singer/guitarist Robert Flynn and mixed by Colin Richardson, the album is set for a March 27, 2007 release.

With the upcoming release, MACHINE HEAD will head out on tour with LAMB OF GOD, TRIVIUM, and GOJIRA.

Regarding The Blackening Flynn states, “This is the most ambitious thing we have ever attempted. We all challenged ourselves and each other to write a record that pushed the boundaries of complexity and technical structure.” Meanwhile, Flynn’s lyrics have gone from what has been, recently, a more introspective focus, back to the social commentary tackled on previous albums like Burn My Eyes. Flynn continues, “The nature of what is happening in the world led to a darker, bleaker album in every sense.” Pointed and timely, the lyrics in songs such as “Clenching the Fists of Dissent,” “A Farewell to Arms” and “Halo” touch upon politics, the war in Iraq and organized religion. The lyrics to the aforementioned songs spit anger and disdain at their topics in the true spirit of angst that fueled punk rock in the mid- 80’s.

Frontman Robert Flynn continues, “Got all of the mixes 2 days ago, WOW man, Colin Richardson nailed it!! SO massive sounding, it could be the heaviest guitar tone EVER!! We’re all really proud of the results, we worked our butt’s off on this one. It’s a crazy, complex, challenging, and fun record to listen too. It’s layered like hell, one of those albums where the more you listen, the more you hear. We can’t fuckin’ wait til’ people can listen to it!!!!!”

Aesthetics Of Hate” captures the bands anger towards an article that bashed Dimebag Darrell right after his death and slammed the metal community as a whole for mourning it. The band actually performed this new track during the special appearances they made along the Sounds of the Underground Tour this past summer. “Now I Lay Thee Down” has a Romeo and Juliet-esque love story slant to it, while “Slanderous” addresses the hate that still permeates throughout society and “Wolves,” tackles the bands competitive, ‘winner take all’ spirit.

MACHINE HEAD drummer Dave McClain on the upcoming tour: “Looking forward to spreading the metal across the U.S. with our friends LAMB OF GOD, and TRIVIUM. Can’t wait to feel the energy from the fans at these shows! This tour and the venues we’re playing couldn’t be any better for an ‘in your face” metal show!!! “Super fuckin’ stoked to going out on this tour. LAMB OF GOD have been one of my favorite bands since As the Palaces Burn, this is gonna be FUN. Let the metal mania begin!!”

LAMB OF GOD February 2007 with MACHINE HEAD, TRIVIUM, and GOJIRA

Returning to the U.S. after a sold-out tour of Europe, Australia and Japan, LAMB OF GOD is excited to announce a headlining American tour in 2007 with MACHINE HEAD, TRIVIUM and GOJIRA. Having spent the summer of 2006 on the Unholy Alliance Tour with SLAYER and joining MEGADETH for the Gigantour tour in September, LOG will kick-off this tour in Dallas on February 16 as they bring their live show across the U.S. and Canada.

Drummer Chris Adler states, “When you are a kid, you dream of playing your music in an arena. Once you’ve done it, you realize how much you miss the power and energy of a kick ass club show. We’ve been fortunate to be playing some big places as of late, but when we started talking about a spring 2007 Sacrament tour, we agreed (and had heard it repeatedly over the past 2 years from the fans!!!) that it would be incredibly intense for everyone to bring the machine that is LAMB OF GOD back into the clubs. There is no comparing the connection and shared energy of a club show. The blood, sweat, and beer flying – that’s a proper metal show! This is intense music for intense people – we’re sick of the seats, the ushers and the lame security guards telling people to calm down!”

“We probably should have left it at that, but in true LAMB OF GOD form we pushed it further. With a little help from our friends, we put an arena show bill together and told our booking agent to put it into the clubs and theaters – and oh yeah, not just any clubs – lets make sure to hit a lot of cities that normally get overlooked. Let’s bring the best show we can to the people that have been left waiting for far too long. This is going to be completely out of hand and we can’t fucking wait! You have been warned!!!”

LAMB OF GOD Drummer Comments on Grammy Nom for “Best Metal Performance”

Richmand, Virginia’s LAMB OF GOD have garnered a Grammy nomination for “Best Metal Performance” for “Redneck,” the first single off their recently released Sacrament album. Drummer Chris Adler comments on the nomination:

Grammy nomination? Is someone still trying to make up for that whole JETHRO TULL thing?

“In all seriousness and regardless of the outcome, we as LAMB OF GOD are overwhelmingly flattered to be recognized. It’s truly hard to believe that we have come as far as we have, even harder to believe that we now share in the short list of some of the best in the business–and the historical company of some of the worlds greatest bands. This nomination is bigger than our band; it is a tribute to our friends and fans whose undying and intense support has helped LAMB OF GOD become recognized in this way. Together, we are helping to create a new and heavier musical landscape for the future. No matter what the outcome may be, this is a very good sign for metal and as a fan I look forward to more doors like these continuing to open to the greatest music in the world–heavy fucking metal!!!”

The 49th annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS from Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Sunday, February 11, 2007. Here are all the nominees in the “Best Metal Performance” category:
