Mikael Stanne (vocals) further comments: “Greetings from Atlanta, Georgia. Four days into the tour and finally jetlag has subsided. We are now operating on local time and it feels great. The shows have been awesome so far. We have loved performing every night and the new songs that we have pulled out have gone over really well. We can’t wait for the album to come out so that we can start doing more of the new stuff that we are very proud of.

“The new video for ‘Shadow in our Blood’ was shot by Vasara Films, who also filmed and edited our live DVD, and once again did an excellent job. The clip is all about inevitability, the inability to alter the course of your life. I think they captured the fear and frustration really well and it turned out to be quite a scary video. The filming of it was even scarier though. I flew to Finland in the dead of winter not knowing what I was in for. Hours later I found myself strapped to an off-road motorcycle in the freezing cold being driven further and further into the woods. It was one of the most surreal days of my life. All I could see from my position was the sky, snow and a few Finnish faces from time to time and all I could hear were people talking in a strange language and the song over and over again. The things you do for the art. Check it out and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I loathed making it.”

The band is currently on tour with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA.

Watch the Uncut Version of DARK FUNERAL’s New Video, “My Funeral”

Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL recently shot a video for “My Funeral,” the fist song off the band’s long-awaiting upcoming new full-length Angelus Exuro Pro Eternus. “My Funeral” is one of the three (of nine) heavier, non-blastbeat driven songs recorded for the new offering. The video was shot in and around an old mental asylum, an environment which, said guitarist Lord Ahriman, “suited the video theme perfectly.” “My Funeral” was produced by Standard Film Team (Umeå, Sweden). Due to the graphic nature of the video, there are two versions. View the uncut version here:

Angelus Exuro Pro Eternus is scheduled for release in the US later this year via Regain Records (11/18 in Europe). Said Ahriman of the new record: “We decided to go for a rawer sound this time; not as crystal clear and perhaps polished as our last album [Attera Totus Sanctus], but no worries. The production still holds the high quality that you would come to expect from us!”

BEHEMOTH’s “Ov Fire and the Void” Video Banned from YouTube

“The most evil video ever,” as described by Metal Injection, has been banned from YouTube. Said video, BEHEMOTH‘s “Ov Fire and the Void,” is a graphic yet highly polished visual accompaniment to an already evil song. The video was filmed by Grupa 13 in Poland, who were also behind the band’s last video, “At the Left Hand Ov God“.

Frontman Nergal commented, “We are proud and we are satisfied. This is our life’s work and we are happy to finally get it out to people. Watch and enjoy!”

The track is from BEHEMOTH‘s latest album, Evangelion, which drops tomorrow, August 11th, in North America. Check out the APESHIT review of Evangelion:
