SHRINEBUILDER Schedule West Coast Shows

SHRINEBUILDER, the doom metal super group that features Scott “Wino” Weinrich (ST. VITUS, THE HIDDEN HAND), Scott Kelly (NEUROSIS), Al Cisneros (OM, SLEEP), and Dale Crover (MELVINS), have scheduled a handful of west coast tour dates. Dates are as follows:

3/2 – San Diego, CA – The Casbah
3/3 – Los Angeles, CA – Echo
3/4 – Los Angeles, CA – Echo
3/5 – San Jose, CA – Voodoo Lounge
3/6 – Oakland, CA – Oakland Metro
3/7 – San Francisco, CA – The Independent
3/9 – Seattle, WA – Neumos

The band also promised a New York show and confirmed their participation in this year’s Scion Rock festival. Details for those engagements are forthcoming.

SHRINEBUILDER @ The Viper Room, Hollywood (11/11/09)

The mega-doom project, SHRINEBUILDER, made their U.S. live debut this month at The Viper Room in West Hollywood. The band, consisting of Scott Kelly (NEUROSIS), Scott “Wino” Weinrich (ST. VITUS, THE OBSESSED), Al Cisneros (OM, SLEEP), and Dale Crover (MELVINS), performed two full sets that night, including a cover of JOY DIVISION‘s “24 Hours“.

SHRINEBUILDER to Make U.S. Debut at The Viper Room’s Club My War O)))

Doom metal supergroup, SHRINEBUILDER, will be making their U.S. debut at The Viper Room on Wednesday, November 11, 2009.

Consisting of Scott “Wino” Weinrich (ST. VITUS, THE HIDDEN HAND), Scott Kelly (NEUROSIS), Al Cisneros (OM, SLEEP), and Dave Crover (MELVINS), the Neurot Recordings band formed earlier this year and recorded their self-titled debut album in just three days. Check out the track “Pyramid of the Moon” from the band’s forthcoming album:

WINO (the Band Featuring “Wino”) To Play First Show Next Week

WINO (the band) have announced a last minute show, making it their debut live performance, at 9:30 (the club) in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, February 7th.  The band, featuring Jean Paul Gaster (CLUTCH) on drums, John Blank (REZIN) on bass, and of course the man, Scott “Wino” Weinrich, on guitar and vocals, recently released their first album, Punctuated Equilibrium, on Southern Lord.

Doom Legend Scott “Wino” Weinrich Working on Solo Album

Legendary guitarist Scott “Wino” Weinrich (SAINT VITUS, OBSESSED, SPIRIT CARAVAN, PLACE OF SKULLS, THE HIDDEN HAND) has announced plans for his first solo album.

Assisting Wino will on the album will be Jean-Paul Gaster (CLUTCH) on drums and Jon Blank (REZ N) on bass. The album will be called Punctuated Equilibrium and tracks are currently being layed down with J. Robbins (producer of the HIDDEN HAND‘s Mother Teacher Destroyer) in Maryland. Wino is really excited about the results so far and said: “Punctuated Equilibrium will bring my career into focus.” Stay tuned for more info regarding this incredible album!
