September 9, 2008 — Hydra Head Records has announced their second ever Champions of Sound Tour. Originally devised in 2003 and also featuring label staples and instrumental metal masters, PELICAN, this year’s trek sees avant-metal pioneers KAYO DOT, supporting their latest Blue Lambency Downward, and CAVE-IN frontman Stephen Brodsky (aka Stove Bredsky), support his psychedelic rock outing that is the Black Ribbon Award.
April 9, 2008 — Seattle’s masters of Americana-style drone Earth are set to play some U.S. dates following their recent jaunt across Europe. Beginning this month they’ll hit the Midwest and South a bit then travel up the East Coast.
April 8, 2008 — KAYO DOT’s new album, Blue Lambency Downward, is due out on May 6th via Hydra Head Records. The band have also lined up three dates with EARTH.
September 30, 2006 — Los Angeles’ INTRONAUT will be hitting the road hard once again in support of the newly released album, Void. This time around they will be in support of death-grind kings MISERY INDEX and the newly reformed SWARM OF THE LOTUS, but not before they do a few gigs with the eclectic KAYO DOT out west.
