February 23, 2009 — Surviving members of the defunct SENTENCED have collectively issued a statement regarding the passing of former guitarist/songwriter, Miika Tenkula: “SENTENCED mourn the loss of Miika Tenkula, a dear friend, a truly remarkable artist and musician, and the very soul of what used to be SENTENCED.
February 20, 2009 — Miika Tenkula, founding member of Finland’s SENTENCED has passed away today, as reported by Blabbermouth. The official cause of death has not been released.
