June 24, 2011 — It has been announced that EYEHATEGOD will be co-headline the upcoming Power of the Riff festival in Los Angeles. In addition, BLACK COBRA, SKIN LIKE IRON, BAPTISTS, SEVEN SISTERS OF SLEEP, EARLY GRAVES, and SLAVE have all been added to the bill that already includes PENTAGRAM, WINTER, PELICAN, TRAP THEM, MASAKARI, ALPINST, ACEPHALIX, and ALL PIGS MUST DIE.

February 7, 2009 — Southern Lord Records has announced the signing of Chicago’s PELICAN. The instrumental rockers are busy recording their first EP for the label at Red Room Studios in Seattle, Washington.

September 9, 2008 — Hydra Head Records has announced their second ever Champions of Sound Tour. Originally devised in 2003 and also featuring label staples and instrumental metal masters, PELICAN, this year’s trek sees avant-metal pioneers KAYO DOT, supporting their latest Blue Lambency Downward, and CAVE-IN frontman Stephen Brodsky (aka Stove Bredsky), support his psychedelic rock outing that is the Black Ribbon Award.
