March 2, 2017 — SÓLSTAFIR have revealed the first song of their forthcoming sixth full-length, Berdreyminn, which means a “dreamer of forthcoming events” and will be out in stores on May 26th via Season of Mist.
December 22, 2015 — Iceland’s greatest export, SÓLSTAFIR, have done it again with another absolutely jawdropping, powerful video. This time around, “Miðaftann” from last year’s Ótta gets the music video treatment.
March 7, 2015 — The APESHIT goons have raved about the post-apocalytic cowboys from Reykjavík, Iceland for a few years now. Their last two studio albums, Svartir Sandar (2011) and Ótta (2014), are epic pieces of atmospheric soul.

May 29, 2014 — Icelandic heathens SÓLSTAFIR are back with a new album. The highly anticipated follow-up to 2011’s much praised Svartir Sandar is entitled Ótta and has been scheduled for an August 29th release (September 2nd in North America).
May 26, 2014 — The best metal fest in the U.S., Maryland Deathfest, just wrapped up this weekend. This year’s edition featured another killer line-up from all around the world, including the reunited DARK ANGEL.
April 1, 2014 — Iceland’s best metal export SÓLSTAFIR have announced that they will finally be touring North America for the first time. The only downside is that it’s strictly an East Coast tour.
November 15, 2013 — The reissue of Icelandic rock heathens SÓLSTAFIR’s debut full-length, Í Blóði Og Anda (In Blood and Spirit), is now out everywhere. The whole album and its bonus disc, as well as the band’s magnum opus ‘Svartir Sandar’, are streaming at Bandcamp.
September 8, 2013 — Iceland’s finest, SÒLSTAFIR, will have their debut album, Í Blóði Og Anda (meaning “In Blood and Spirit”), will be reissued with a bonus disc full of previously unreleased material.

April 30, 2012 — The world’s first extreme metal cruise, Barge to Hell, featuring 40 bands of extreme metal’s best bands is set to depart from Miami, Florida on December 3, 2012 for Nassau, Bahamas and back on December 7, 2012.

December 23, 2011 — 2011 was a very productive and enjoyable year for extreme music, perhaps the best in years. Thus, it was not an easy task choosing what we enjoyed best since they were just so many.
