June 16, 2011 — After witnessing my first MEGADETH show earlier in the year on February 27, 1995 with openers CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, I was ready for more MEGADETH. The first leg of their Youthanasia tour featured a great setlist where staples from Rust in Peace like “Holy Wars…” and “Hangar 18” were performed absolutely flawlessly.

January 7, 2010 — The American and Canadian Carnage Tour, featuring SLAYER, MEGADETH, and TESTAMENT, have been cancelled due to SLAYER’s Tom Araya needing to undergo back surgery. Araya began experiencing back problems while on the band’s Australian/New Zealand/Japanese tour last October.

November 18, 2009 — MEGADETH and SLAYER have announced that they will co-headline the “American Carnage” tour. TESTAMENT will be opening all date on the tour. “American Carnage” will kick off on January 18 in Seattle, WA for a 26-date trek across North America that will include the six Canadian dates postponed earlier this month.
October 21, 2009 — If you needed any indication as to what Endgame would sound like, you only need to look to MEGADETH’s last album, United Abominations. The band open the album with power and style with the instrumental, “Dialectic Chaos,” which sounds heavily inspired from MAIDEN’s Powerslave.
June 19, 2009 — MEGADETH have announced Endgame as the title of their twelfth studio album. The album is tentatively scheduled for a September release through Roadrunner Records. Endgame was recorded at the band’s brand new, self-built studio, Vic’s Garage, located near San Diego and named after their iconic Vic Rattlehead character (seen on the band’s album covers).
