January 22, 2018 — If you’ve been following SLAYER closely in recent years, it may not come as a shock but the band have announced a final world tour. The band made the announcement via Youtube:
February 20, 2017 — The 2017 edition of the **National Association of Music Merchants (**NAMM) Convention has concluded, and it was mostly filled with updates/improvements on past products, but there were a few items of interest to the metal community!
August 23, 2016 — This month saw the release of VADER’s latest EP, Iron Times, via Nuclear Blast. In keeping with their tradition, Iron Times is another excellent release that is meant to tide us over till their next full length entitled The Empire.
January 15, 2016 — When looking back at 2015, the only thing that seems to matter is the passing of Lemmy Kilmister. Of course losing Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor in November was sad but Lemmy was on another level - one of the pillars of the entire rock ’n roll universe.
January 13, 2014 — Members of MACHINE HEAD, METALLICA, SLAYER, TESTAMENT, EXODUS, DEATH ANGEL, FORBIDDEN, SPIRALARMS, SUICIDE SILENCE, and RUBBLE will perform classic songs by BLACK SABBATH as part of an all-star tribute band that will headline the Robb Flynn & Friends Benefit Concert on Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Oakland Metro Operahouse in Oakland, California.
June 19, 2013 — Dave Lombardo, former drummer for SLAYER, will be featured on SEPULTURA’s upcoming album. Lombardo was having some quality-time with his kids and dog at the beach near the studio where SEPULTURA is recording, when producer Ross Robinson asked him if he wanted to guest on the recording.
May 30, 2013 — SLAYER’s Tom Araya and Kerry King have announced that Paul Bostaph has rejoined the band on a full-time basis. “Paul’s a great drummer and a good friend, and we’re very happy that he’s decided to rejoin the band,” said Tom Araya.
May 16, 2013 — The Jeff Hanneman Memorial Celebration will take place on Thursday, May 23 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles from 3:30 - 7:30PM. Hanneman passed away on May 2 at the age of 49.

April 30, 2011 — After last week’s successful "The Big 4" concert in Indio, California, the heavy metal foursome of METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH, and ANTHRAX have announced an East Coast edition of the show at Yankee Stadium in Bronx, New York on September 14th, 2011.

January 7, 2010 — The American and Canadian Carnage Tour, featuring SLAYER, MEGADETH, and TESTAMENT, have been cancelled due to SLAYER’s Tom Araya needing to undergo back surgery. Araya began experiencing back problems while on the band’s Australian/New Zealand/Japanese tour last October.
