September 17, 2007 — Never a band shy of experimentation and progression, Chicago’s YAKUZA continues on their unique path with their third album, Transmutations. At this point in their career, they’ve grown beyond simple taglines or descriptions of their sound.
July 15, 2007 — Translation Loss is proud to announce the release of INTRONAUT’s new EP, The Challenger. The Challenger will see a late 2007 release and consist of three new tracks, a handful of live tracks and an outstanding remix totaling over 40 minutes.
June 19, 2007 — Chicago’s forward-thinking YAKUZA have confirmed the release date for the band’s recently completed full-length, Transmutations due out August 7 through Prosthetic Records. A listening party will take in the band’s hometown July 31 at The Liar’s Club, details will be confirmed shortly.
March 11, 2007 — Chicago’s YAKUZA has offered an update from the studio online (http://www.prostheticrecords.com/yakuza-instudio.html), in addition to posting some new video footage on the band’s MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/yakuza) featuring the video for “Chicago Typewriter,” as well as live footage.
February 17, 2007 — Chicago’s YAKUZA have begun demoing new material in the band’s hometown at Semifour Studios for the band’s forthcoming new album, tentatively titled Transmutations and scheduled for a late 2007 release through Prosthetic Records.
December 12, 2006 — Los Angeles’ INTRONAUT are currently on tour with YAKUZA and have recently run into van problems. As a result, they have been forced to cancel their shows in Tempe, AZ and San Marcos, CA.
November 13, 2006 — Chicago forward-thinking metal act, YAKUZA, has extended touring plans into December with a string of dates playing alongside the like-minded INTRONAUT. Already teaming up with INTRONAUT for a string of dates with MISERY INDEX and labelmates BURN IN SILENCE, YAKUZA will soldier on for another handful of dates, also meeting up with STRETCH ARM STRONG and VIVISECT along the way.
October 15, 2006 — Chicag’’s prog-minded metal band, YAKUZA, have secured several more live appearances before the end of the year, including an October appearance supporting fellow Chicagoans PELICAN in Cleveland Heights, OH and a string of dates in November and December alongside MISERY INDEX, INTRONAUT and labelmates BURN IN SILENCE.
