March 8, 2019 — Greetings and salutations from sunny California! Once again, another amazing National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) convention has come and gone! There were a few surprises along the way, they also had the Free Music Lesson, and as always, we had a great time checking out all the gear!
December 30, 2017 — Dependability is crucial to any band’s fanbase and 2017 did not disappoint. All of the bands that we’ve come to depend on for great music more or less delivered the goods.
September 28, 2015 — Loud Park festival is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this year. The two-day festival is set to for October 10-11, 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
January 14, 2015 — Unlike everyone else, we waited until 2014 was actually over to recount our favorite albums. It’s been a great year for extreme music with a healthy amount of excellent releases.
November 18, 2014 — Big news out of the ARCH ENEMY camp: Guitarist Nick Cordle is out of the band as guitar extraordinaire, Jeff Loomis, will join the band as live guitarist.

June 3, 2014 — Do you remember the first time you heard ARMAGEDDON’s Crossing the Rubicon? So awesome and it still holds up to this date. Then do you remember listening to the band after band leader/guitarist Chris Amott took over on vocals and they went on the prog rock/metal path?
March 17, 2014 — ARCH ENEMY has announced that vocalist Angela Gossow has stepped down and has been replaced by Alissa White-Gluz of THE AGONIST. You didn’t really expect the band to replace her with a male, did you?
October 24, 2013 — If someone were to tell you that Earth Blues is a near perfect record for what it is, that would be an accurate statement. One would be hard pressed to find anything wrong or bad about it.
March 6, 2012 — ARCH ENEMY have parted ways with guitarist Christopher Amott in an amicable split. Christopher Amott was a member of ARCH ENEMY between 1996-2005 and again between 2007-2011.
December 23, 2011 — 2011 was a very productive and enjoyable year for extreme music, perhaps the best in years. Thus, it was not an easy task choosing what we enjoyed best since they were just so many.
August 18, 2011 — With the recent great news about original vocalist Lawrence Mackrory returning to DARKANE, it instantly triggered fond memories of the band’s excellent debut album, Rusted Angel.
June 14, 2011 — Set in the midst of a storyline/theme of societal anarchy and revolution, ARCH ENEMY follow up what is, arguably, the best album of their career in Rise of the Tyrant with Khaos Legions.

December 21, 2010 — Swedish melodic death metal titan, ARCH ENEMY, has begun recording a new studio album, the long awaited successor to 2007’s acclaimed Rise of the Tyrant album.
August 9, 2010 — After taking a breather in their respective other bands, namely THE HAUNTED, OPETH, and ARCH ENEMY, the members of WITCHERY offer Witchkrieg, the first album with vocalist Legion (ex-MARDUK) on board.
December 12, 2009 — It’s been eight long years since we last heard new music from Los Angeles’ RISE. However, the wait was not all in vain as their new album, Pentagramnation, is easily the band’s strongest and most sophisticated work.
October 14, 2009 — Sweden’s ARCH ENEMY have announced the Tyrants of Evil headlining tour of North America in support of their latest release, The Root of All Evil (which came out last week via Century Media Records).
June 23, 2009 — Sweden’s ARCH ENEMY will be unleashing their new album, The Root of All Evil, on October 6th (September 28th in Europe) through Century Media Records.
October 9, 2008 — Reformed death metal/grindcore legends CARCASS recently completed their first North American tour since embarking on a reunion trek early this year. Guitarist Michael Amott (ARCH ENEMY) commented on what their recent touring experience was like:
April 11, 2008 — Sweden’s DARK TRANQUILLITY are set to embark on the Tyranny and Bloodshred 2008 tour alongside ARCH ENEMY, DIVINE HERESY, and FIREWIND. The tour will consist of several off-date shows without ARCH ENEMY and conclude with a headlining run of shows with just DIVINE HERESY and FIREWIND.
January 8, 2008 — The demise of CARCASS in the mid-nineties spawned a metal beast known then by only the most dedicated underground metal fans in ARCH ENEMY. Fast forward to 2008, ARCH ENEMY are one of the most popular and well-recognized bands of metal today.
November 12, 2007 — The Dethalbum features songs by the animated five-piece “extreme metal” band, DETHKLOK, from the Metalocalypse animated series, a show that’s really about the comedy of this abrasive genre of music we know and love.

July 5, 2007 — ARCH ENEMY are pleased to announce they have completed work on their highly anticipated new album. The new masterpiece, Rise of the Tyrant, is the follow-up to 2005’s Doomsday Machine, the band’s most successful album to date.
May 17, 2007 — Peter Lindgren has stepped down from his guitar-wielding duties in OPETH after 16 years. His official statement on the matter reads as follows: “It is with sadness I announce that OPETH and I are going separate ways after almost 16 years.
March 22, 2007 — ARCH ENEMY are pleased to be able to announce the return of original guitarist Christopher Amott. The band, having finished an intense 18-month touring cycle all over the world promoting the Doomsday Machine album and Live Apocalypse DVD, are currently busy working on songs for their new studio album.
November 29, 2006 — CHIMAIRA’s new album Ressurection has been scheduled for a March 6, 2007 release through Ferret Records in North America (other territories through Nuclear Blast Records). Produced by Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, GOD FORBID) and Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY), the follow-up to last year’s self-titled album will be the first since their departure from Roadrunner Records.
September 14, 2006 — ARCH ENEMY made their triumphant return to the U.S. this past week on Gigantour sharing the main stage with such genre heavyweights as MEGADETH and OPETH.
