October 8, 2014 — Norwegian post-black metal band, MANIMALISM, is returning from a long hiatus to release their first full-length album, Manimalism. After releasing two demos in the mid-nineties as TAARENES VAAR, MANIMALISM went quiet; or so it seemed on the outside.
August 1, 2010 — Norway’s VIRUS, led by Carl-Michael Eide (a.k.a. Czral of VED BUENS ENDE and Aggressor of AURA NOIR, DØDHEIMSGARD) and Einar “Esso” Sjursø (BEYOND DAWN), have posted an update regarding their new album and label situation.
August 17, 2008 — Norwegian avant-garde metal trio VIRUS will be releasing their long-awaited new album, The Black Flux, on November 10th through Season of Mist. The follow-up to 2003’s twisted post-rock debut, Carheart, is said to encompass the same unique style of experimental rock/metal.
November 26, 2007 — Norway’s VIRUS, masterminded by Czral (a.k.a. Carl-Michael Eide, VED BUENS ENDE, DØDHEIMSGARD), have posted a rough-cut of a new song on their MySpace page. Czral talks about the track:
September 29, 2007 — Norway’s VIRUS have uploaded a demo version of a new song, “Lost Peacocks,” online here. The demo track does not have bass and is unmixed. The song will appear in its final form on the band’s upcoming album, The Black Flux, via Jester Records.
